HEAVY FOOD POST

Do not proceed if you are hungry..hahaha just kidding!! CONTINUE SCROLLING AND DROOLING AT THE SAME TIME! x)

Finally got to try this after so many failed attempts because the queue was just insanely long every time I went. We went for an early dinner that day and got seated immediately without queuing, yeay! Ordered salmon sashimi (I deleted the pic wth), scallop mentaiyaki, tenderloin steak and ebi fry salmon aburi roll to share~ Absolutely love the salmon sashimi and the aburi roll!! The salmon sashimi was so so so thick I can't even! Salmo aburi roll is too perfect because everything in the sushi is what I love!! Salmon, mentaiyaki, avocado, fry eburi..im craving for it already D:

Kilo at Pact - Kampong Bugis

Wasabi Tuna Tartare - $22
avocado, sesame seeds, onion sprouts, flour chips

Squid Ink Rice - $28
prawns, crispy baby squids, fried basil, egg yolk

Cream of Ebiko Angel Hair Pasta - $27
smelt roe, tiger prawns, chives

I just realised I didn't blog about this amazing Kilo at Pact which i visited long ago, lol! Have been eating too much good food with my certified foodie friend, lol! Anyway, we went to the one at Kampong Bugis, heard that there's one at Orchard Central too but im not too sure if they offer the same menu. We ordered the wasabi tuna tartare, squid ink rice and cream of ebiko pasta to share. I can't decide which item is the star of the meal because everything was just simply amazing. It was my first time trying the tuna tartare and i was so amazed that the combination of wasabi and avocada can work so well! Just can't stop eating it and we wiped it clean before the mains were served, hehe! Look at the beautiful egg yolk on the squid ink rice!! I was so reluctant to burst the egg yolk..haha!! I am not very good in describing the food but I can ensure you both the squid ink rice and ebiko pasta taste really good! The food is equally awesome as the presentation, worth every penny and calories, lol!

This outlet is an al fresco concept restaurant and they only offer dinner from Mon to Sat, reservation is strongly encouraged..lol!

Wild Honey

Had brunch for our dinner last week before Eva flew off to London..for one week only lah..haha! She wanted to try Wild Honey so we went to the one at Scotts Square. There's another outlet at Mandarin Gallery but I personally prefer the Scotts Square outlet as it's more spacious. Eva ordered the Canadian which is basically stack of 3 pancakes served with Canadian bacon and maple syrup. This girl is seriously in love with pancake? She just had Mcd pancake for her breakfast on that day and yet she still opt for pancake out of so many choices available = = I had Spanish hash which consist of diced chorizo, house corned beef and potato plus 2 poached eggs. Well, the poached eggs didn't turn out like what I expected. As you can see from the picture, the eggs were over-cooked. Both of us couldn't finish the food as the portion is really a bit too much, should just ordered one to share..lol!

Ok, since I'm writing about Wild Honey, might as well write about my first visit to the outlet at Scotts Square..hahaha!! Went there with my dear Joanne and we ordered the Tunisian and 2 sides to share. Both of us thought that the Tunisian was really good! *best dish I've tasted in Wild Honey so far :)

Ok, I took a panorama picture that day to show how spacious the place is, haha!

Flame torched salmon wrapped with arugula leaves, with wasabi mirin dressing.

Braised Pork Belly - $22
Black Berkshire pork slow-cooked for 6 hours, served over warm cha soba

Mentaiko Pasta - $18
Spaghetti tossed in creamy mentaiko topped with more cod fish roe

I've always heard about the raved mentaiko pasta at five & dime and i finally got to try it with Anelie in our last meet up. We ordered a salmon rocket, braised pork belly and mentaiko pasta to share. I love both the salmon rocket and mentaiko pasta! Braised pork belly was mediocre and i was surprised with the amount of the cha soba given. Hmm actually i don't even know there will be cha soba underneath the pork belly, lol! Anelie was the one who ordered it so i just thought it was a braised pork belly itself, lol!! We were stuffed by noodlessss that day, hahaha! Anyway, the food was not bad and we got ourselves a one-for-one apple cider coz it's TGIF~~ haha!! I wanted to try the custard lava cake but we were both too full so i guess i would leave it for next time, hehe!

Go french

Saveur's Pasta - $4.90
Pasta tossed with chilli oil, fine-chopped Japanese konbu & sakura ebi with minced pork sauce. Love how they present the pasta in such a pretty way.

Duck Confit - $12.90
Duck leg confit served with homemade mashed potato, sauteed shitake mushroom, orange segments and orange infused jus. This is the popular dish i saw on instagram, lol! Seems like everyone is ordering this dish for sure whenever they visit Saveur. Love the mashed potato but the duck confit is slight salty to my liking.

Seabass - $14.90
Pan-seared sea bass served with diced sauteed potato and crabmeat, french beans and caper vinaigrette. I LOVE THIS!! Personally think that this is much nicer than the duck confit, hehe!
