Europe Day 7 Visuals - Switzerland

A visit to Mount Titlis marked the last day of our Europe trip, I am always excited to go snowy places but this time round I realized i had underdressed for the mountain, lol! Mount Titlis has a cold, snowy climate with permanent snow cover and freezing temperatures as its summit is located above the snow line. It's covered by snow all year round even in summer! Wearing the romper with a denim jacket was clearly not a good idea, everyone was staring at me and wondering if I am crazy..hahaha! Anyway, we had a good time enjoying the breathtaking scenery and snapping lots of pictures away.

We went back to Lucerne after lunch to visit the famous lion monument, a memorial for the heroic deaths of the Swiss mercenaries in battle during the French Revolution at the Tuileries in 1792. It was carved out of natural rock and dedicated Helvetiorum Fidei ac Virtuti which means 'To the loyalty and bravery of the Swiss'. Mark Twain described the Lion of Lucerne as the saddest and most moving piece of rock in the world and I couldn't agree more. I can literally feel the sadness and pain from the lion's face, definitely a remarkable piece of art. Did some souvenirs shopping there and off to airport in late afternoon.

7 days in Europe was way too short, I wish we could have more time exploring the places, not rushing here and there but it was a nice trip after all. Ok, I will end this post with a video that sum up our whole europe trip..hehe! CLICK HERE and please watch in HD! :D

Europe Day 6 Visuals - Switzerland

After much procrastination, I finally came to blog about the last 2 days of my Europe trip last year, lol! Visited Château de Chillon, an island castle located on Lake Geneva. The castle is very big and it consists of 100 dependent buildings that were gradually connected. We explored a small part of the castle only such as the chillon castle crypt, grand hall of the count, the courtyard and a series of bedrooms. Lunch at a small cosy restaurant nearby and we had this very delicious chicken drumstick with pasta aside. The swiss quiche was not bad but i had a hard time taking out the vegetable that I dislike in the pie, hahaha!

Went to Lucerne, a city in north-central Switzerland after lunch to visit the landmark of Lucerne, chapel bridge. It's one of Europe's oldest covered wooden bridges and was restored to its original design after a serious fire. Had some free time here before dinner and we took a stroll around the city. Our tour guide recommended this ice cream from Confiserie Bachmann and of course we have to try it! We joined in the (very long) queue anyway since we have time to spare~ Can't remember what flavor i chose, i think it's mango and chocolate? Lol! The serving was quite big and it was really yummy! Absolutely worth the wait hehe!

Ok this concluded my second last day in Europe..last post of Europe trip should be coming up soon...hehe~

Till then~ :)
