Europe Day 2 Visuals - Amsterdam & Brussels

 Burgwallen Nieuwe Zijde

✗ Amsterdam National Monument

✗ Atomium Brussels Belgium

✗ Grand Place, Brussels

✗ Manneken Pis

2nd day morning was spent at Burgwallen Nieuwe Zijde, a neighborhood of Amsterdam. We went for sightseeing by the canal cruises and I really enjoy looking at the beautiful building and houses along the canal. They provide personal audio guide with different languages so basically you just put on the headphone, listen to the historical background and introduction of some city's highlights, sit back, relax and enjoy..haha!

Took a super long bus ride (i can't rmb how long it was) and we reached Brussels in the late afternoon. The 1st attraction in Brussels was the signature Atomium Bruxelles, created in 1958 for the Brussels World’s Fair held in Heysel, Brussels. Next, we went to the Grand Place which is the central square of Brussels. It's surrounded by the citys town hall, guildhalls and the Breadhouse. This place is so so so pretty I think I can just spent the whole day looking at every details of the architecture. Well, we were following tour so we don't have much time to really explore the places. :(

But we managed to buy the super awesome belgium waffle despite the crazy crowd and limited time. it was so so so nice I wish we can have more but we are having dinner afterwards so we just bought some to share. There was no line for you to queue and it was so so crowded with people and you were lucky if the service staff asked you what would you like, lol! Else, you might be standing there looking at the displayed set at the window, haha! Dinner was at a small cosy restaurant and we had their famous mussels for dinner. Yes, we had one pot for each, lol!!

Till then, to be continued~ :)

Europe Day 1 Visuals - Amsterdam

After 14 hours of flight, we finally reached our 1st stop, Netherlands. We headed to Volendam, a town in North Holland in Netherlands to have our first lunch in this trip. Honestly speaking, we didn't feel hungry at all as we were constantly fed on the plane, lol! Lunch was at an authentic restaurant which served delicious fish & chips. I have no idea what was the soup I drank before the main, it tasted like maggi chicken soup to me, lol! Potatoes, carrots and some greens were served together with the main. The fish was really fresh and it was served piping hot which made it taste even better, hehe! The service crews were wearing dutch's traditional costumes but I didn't manage to take picture of it = = Went to explore the small town for a bit and bought some souvenirs~

Next we went to another town called Zaandam, located in the province of North Holland which consists of a collection of windmills and some old wooden houses. We visited the wooden shoes factory first, where you can see how they make wooden shoes. There are so many designs of the clogs for sale and some of them are pretty unique! Besides, you can also purchase some wooden shoes related souvenirs such as key chains, miniature clogs and so on.

Mandatory shots with the windmills and some visuals to end this post, to be continued! :)
